The EDUTech@Seychelles was officially launched by
the Minister for Education, Mrs. Macsuzy Mondon, on 14th September, 2012.
It is organised by the Ministry of Education and is held annually in
Seychelles. The EduTech@Seychelles is the technological centerpiece event
for the Ministry of Education.
It aims to promote the use of information and
communication technologies in teaching and learning. It is the platform
for the Ministry of Education, the educational institutions and stakeholders to
connect and to discover the developments in technology, and foster rich and
valuable exchange and interaction.
The EduTech@Seychelles promotes the transformation
of teaching practices and evaluates the use and impact of ICT in teaching and
students’ learning outcomes in Seychelles public schools.
The EduTech@Seychelles aims at providing
opportunities for teachers to use technology as a tool for teaching and
learning, and opportunities for students to develop an interest in learning
through the use of technology.
The Ministry of Education invites all educational institutions, teachers, students and stakeholders to participate in promoting the use of ICT in education, and support meaningful and rich communication that will contribute towards the overall developments and promotion of ICT in education.
