The EDUTech Steering Committee
To ensure that the EduTech@Seychelles
achieves its objectives that it has set out, the EDUTech Committee was put in
place.
The role of the EduTech@Seychelles Steering
Committee is as follows:
- Discuss and make recommendations on matters involving the alteration in the terms of reference, membership or structure of the steering committee and sub-committees
- Review the need for sub-committees and recommend establishment or closure of such sub-committees.
- Approve or reject changes to the project plan with significant impacts on timelines and budget.
- Provide advice and guidance on issues related to the implementation of the project plan.
- Ensure the project plan is implemented according to the Ministry’s organizational strategy and related education and national policies.
- Assist with the implementation and achieving the objectives of the project plan through exchange, consultation and interaction with affiliated and interested parties.
- Act as point of contact for organisations wishing to establish dialogue.
- Assist with resolving strategic level issues and risks.
- Assess the progress and report on the implementation of the project to senior management and higher authorities.
- Review and approve project plan deliverables as necessary.
- Review, discuss and make recommendations on the logistics requirements, sources of funding and financial support to implement the EduTech@Seychelles project plan.
The
Steering Committee cannot make binding decisions on behalf of the Ministry of
Education, or on behalf of other stakeholders.
Membership on the Committee
The members of the Steering Committee are proposed
by the Chair and approved for appointment by the members of the Committee.
Members should be selected based on their
specialist knowledge, ability to represent the interests of stakeholders, and
ability to help resolve issues the project may face.
Steering Committee members are not authorized to
participate in any competition of the EduTech@Seychelles and should be able to provide an objective
assessment of whether or not the EduTech@Seychelles project plan is progressing successfully.
